Meridian Dental Studio is a private dental clinic built around one question: what would it take to turn a Google search for "dentist near me" and every visitor from anywhere into a booked appointment. I designed the marketing website and the design system behind it, aimed at turning traffic into patients instead of losing them to the next tab.

The problem

Dental clinic websites lose patients before they even get to halfway into the website. Images don't load. Dentistry is a trust purchase before it's anything else, and a site that looks unfinished reads as a clinic that's unfinished too. Nobody consciously thinks "this website arrangement is bad," they just feel like the place seems low-effort, and that gets translated straight into low-quality care in their head. That impression forms in seconds and it's brutal to undo once it's made.

What makes this expensive is how people actually find a dentist. Usually, they search when a tooth already hurts or when they've finally decided it's time, when they get into your website, the website has to carry the entire sales conversation that used to happen face to face. There's no receptionist smiling at them in that moment. The site is doing that job completely on its own, and most dental sites are doing it badly.

The Opportunity

If the website is the whole pre-visit sales conversation, then fixing how it looks and how it guides someone toward booking is one of the highest-leverage things a clinic can invest in. Higher leverage, in a lot of cases, than the ad spend driving traffic to it in the first place. The opportunity isn't to compete on price, since almost nobody is price-shopping a first cleaning. It's to compete on credibility and ease: look like the clinic that clearly knows what it's doing, and make booking take less effort than picking up the phone. A visitor who lands on a site that answers their unspoken questions is a visitor who books instead of bouncing to the next search result.
